Nolan Warehousing & Logistics Ltd is part of the Nolan Group – headquartered in New Ross, Co. Wexford. One of Europe’s leading transport, logistics and warehousing companies the business operates offices, depots, warehouses and maintenance facilities throughout Europe. Established in 1963 the business employees more than 1000 employees, operates a fleet of 2700 asset owned transport units and transports in excess of 100,000 freight loads annually.

Having completed Phase 1 and opened a state of the art 25,000 racked pallet warehouse on its 35-acre Logistics Park at Drinagh, Co. Wexford; Nolan Warehousing & Logistics Ltd is now commencing Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the development. Phase 2 and Phase 3 will add an additional 35,000 racked pallet warehousing capacity at the site, bringing capacity up to 60,000 pallets.

The Logistics Park’s is strategic located next door to Rosslare Europort, well serviced by the main Euro routes and international connections.

Due to continued expansion, we are now recruiting for the senior role of Commercial Warehouse Business Development Executive to drive the growth and success of the warehousing business unit, working alongside our established commercial team.

Key Duties of the Role:

  • Working closely with and reporting to the Managing Director – you will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial growth and success of the warehousing business.
  • You will build a pipeline of customers appropriate for the varied storage options available at the Logistics Park – maximizing both revenue and profitability with full P&L responsibility for the warehousing business.
  • Manage key strategic relationships with manufacturers and distributors in the FMCG, Pharma, Food & Drinks industries to ensure that Nolan Warehousing & Logistics Ltd is a supplier of choice for current and future warehousing needs.
  • Deliver an outstanding customer service experience and build a first-class reputation for quality and excellence.
  • You will actively work on generating new business to ensure that the business has choice when it comes to allocating warehouse space across the warehousing options on site.
  • On a monthly basis you will prepare a report to be submitted to the board of directors – setting out the commercial performance of the warehousing business.
  • You will deal with all enquires for warehousing and logistics services on a timely basis – by phone and where necessary with face-to-face visits and update the Managing Director on outcomes achieved.
  • You will lead and deliver top quality sales presentations to both visiting potential customers and in off-site face-to-face meetings.
  • Working with the finance team you will focus on ways of maximizing the overall profitability of the business.
  • You will contribute to the future growth of the business by highlighting areas of opportunity to add new and additional services such as pick and pack and full end-to-end fulfillment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years specialist warehouse sales experience; operating at the most senior level in the logistics industry.
  • Have a degree in a business and management related discipline.
  • Be a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of delivering on agreed targets.
  • Have a network of well-established working relationships with manufacturers and distributors – especially in the FMCG, Pharma, Food and Drinks industries.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver on a business plan and its objectives including the management of all resources and costs – full P&L responsibility.
  • Be customer focused and passionate about delivering a first class customer experience.
  • Be well organized with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Be a confident and articulate presenter – able to deliver top level sales presentations to existing and potential customers.
  • Excellent IT and Computer Skills – including Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages.
  • Be a team player.
  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to go the extra mile to achieve the ambitious targets for the warehousing business.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and great attention to detail.
